Finnish Scottish Society – 1 year old!

Hi everyone! With all the preparations for our upcoming cèilidh, our anniversary has passed us by without note.

Last week we were 1!

In the past year we have been mentioned in the Scottish Parliament, organised a cèilidh and set up a website. We have organised a Burns Supper and we had a beer tasting and pub crawl – with another one to come! We also met (virtually) with the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs.

Oh, and we organised a family day and bake sale where we all fell in love with Michelle’s Millionaire’s shortbread

There have been missed opportunities and some mistakes made too. However, we feel we can congratulate the Society and all its members for making this first year all that it has been!

We want to thank all of you who have volunteered your time and talents to make all of this happen. Here’s to all the forthcoming years!

P.S. Get yourself to the upcoming pub crawl and cèilidh!!
